Recently, Luxexcel and IFB Solutions signed the first contract for the 3D printing platform for ophthalmic lenses. The platform will be incorporated into IFB's optical business in Winston, North Carolina, Salem, one of the country's ten independent laboratories. The Luxexcel platform is composed of optical industrial grade 3D printers, lens design software and workflow integration, so that solutions like IFB customers can print 3D glasses lens manufacturing quality level meets all industry standards. The technology initially focused on the manufacture of medical professional lenses.
